The International Piers Plowman Society
(IPPS) was formed at the 2nd International Langland Conference
held in Asheville, North Carolina in 1999.
IPPS
oversees publication of The Yearbook of Langland Studies
(YLS), sponsors sessions at the International
Congresses at Kalamazoo, MI and Leeds, UK; organizes international
conferences on Piers Plowman; and maintains this website,
which includes information on these activities and a searchable
database of the annual annotated bibliographies published in YLS.

> The new Executive Board of the International Piers Plowman Society is: Robert Adams (Director), C. David Benson, Elizabeth Robertson, James Simpson, Stephanie Trigg, Emily Steiner, Helen Barr (ex officio as chair of the organizing committee of the 2011 conference), and Fiona Somerset (ex officio as co-editor of YLS; position to rotate among her, Andrew Cole, and Lawrence Warner)
> The complete run of YLS 1987-2007 is now available online through Brepols Journals Online; the online bibliographies on this site have been updated through 2006.
> From volume 22 (2008) YLS has a reconstituted editorial board: information in the YLS section of this website.
